Welcome to my home page! My name is Dimitris Kopsidas and I'm currently an undergraduate student at the International Hellenic University. I study in the department of Information and Electronic Engineering and I'm currently in my second year of studies.

An Introduction

I was born in Thessaloniki on the 4th of March 1999. At the age of 4 my family and I moved to Athens where we lived for 11 years. At the age of 15 I started attending highschool in Thessaloniki as we had to move again because of my father's duty as a military officer. I finished highschool in 2017 and qualified to study in the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki on the subject of Information Engineering. I attended the first semester of 2017 and on the 12th of March 2018 I enlisted in the Greek Army to serve my 9 months of mandatory military service. After finishing in December I worked in downtown Thessaloniki at an advertising firm as I had to wait until October to continue my studies. The reason I had to wait was that the Technological Educational Institute that I was a student of got upgraded to the International Hellenic University. As a result the Department of Information Engineering got merged with the department of Electronic Engineering. That gave older students like me two choices :
a) To continue studying for the old degree of Information Engineering or
b) To wait for the first semester of 2019 to start studying for the more demanding and upgraded degree of Information and Electronic Engineering, which has an extended duration of 5 years (from the 4 years of the Information Engineering degree)
